Active corruption: Initiating the offer of an unjustified benefit.
Passive corruption: Accepting or soliciting an unjustified benefit to influence actions.
Influence peddling involves offering or accepting undue advantages to leverage influence for favorable outcomes, such as contracts or special treatment. It is divided into:
Active influence peddling: Proposing or accepting the use of influence for gain.
Passive influence peddling: Offering or agreeing to use one’s influence for undue benefits.
Violations may result in severe penalties, including fines, imprisonment, exclusion from public contracts, or other sanctions, depending on local laws.
Practices Implemented at NUCIDA Group
All NUCIDA employees are expected to act with integrity and transparency, prioritizing the company’s interests. Our anti-corruption and anti-influence peddling guidelines, available in multiple languages, provide clear behavioral expectations with practical examples.
Gifts and invitations are permitted only when reasonable, moderate, and aligned with promoting NUCIDA’s services. They must:
1. Be modest in value;
2. Comply with company policies;
3. Serve professional purposes;
4. Be transparent and not in cash or cash equivalents;
5. Avoid influencing critical decisions or negotiations.
Employees must consult their managers if unsure about the appropriateness of a gift or invitation, ensuring alignment with NUCIDA’s values and interests.
Control Procedures
